We are recruiting couple Personal Support Workers for our male employer with Dementia who requires assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Our employer likes to eat, sleep and go outside for fresh air in community Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Victoria (Near James Bay Public Library) Shifts & Hours of Work: Casual, part time, or full time permanent shifts 9:00am to 1:00pm and 4:30pm-8:00pm Compensation: $24 per hour starting wage Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): Personal care such as showering, dressing, toileting, sponge bath, shopping Meal preparation Laundry and light cleaning Administer medications Assist in mental exercises and range of motion/stretches Provide Companionship Push client in wheelchair outside Minimal lifting required (client walks semi-independently within his apartment building using a walker) Lifting and assistance needed from sitting to standing position Required Qualifications: Skilled Dementia/Long-term care - 1 year of experience required Must be fully vaccinated (2 doses) Yearly flu shot required Willing to be trained Non-smoker Patience and kindness are significant Mandarin/Cantonese speaking at basic level preferred but not required Candidate must be able to handle weight up to 50 lbs.
