Maintenance Technician Victoria

We are a novel property management company with a commitment to serve both the tenants and the landlords in an equitable and transparent manner. Hearing to and solving tenant issues promptly is a core value to our business. We are growing and are looking for an individual who can support the property maintenance department within the company. An ideal candidate will be someone with hands on tools experience, who can fix small maintenance issues by self and manage the maintenance contractors when and where necessary. This can be a good prospect for an apprentice or a red seal tradesperson who would not only enjoy fixing property issues and working on tools but also learn and implement project and property management in the day to day work. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of residential properties. This role requires solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.) Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance needs Coordinate with external contractors when required Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory Assist with unit turnovers (cleaning, repairs, touch-ups) Handle emergency maintenance calls as needed Qualifications Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver’s license with personal vehicle and tools Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Preferred (but not required) Trade certification (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) Experience in residential or multi-family buildings What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Opportunities for growth within the company Supportive and team-oriented work environment Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour Benefits: Extended health care Versatile schedule Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p9hyd
