Hair Stylist (Victoria)

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hair care, styling techniques, and customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for clients. Your creativity and expertise in various hair techniques will help enhance our clients' beauty and confidence. Duties - Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments. - Apply knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients. - Utilize hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and other techniques to enhance client satisfaction. - Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. - Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering professional advice. - Manage appointments using salon software such as MINDBODY to ensure efficient scheduling. - Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering phones, and handling retail sales. - Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing knowledge and best practices in hair care and styling. - Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, makeup application, and nail care to provide clients with current options. - Engage in upselling products and services to enhance the overall client experience. Skills - Proficient in hair styling techniques including barbering, hair threading, and straight razor usage. - Strong understanding of cosmetology principles and practices. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. - Familiarity with retail math to assist in managing product sales effectively. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. - Experience with salon management software is preferred but not required. - Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
