Private Equity Analytics Co‑op Student/Intern
BCI manages a diversified portfolio of gross assets valued at $295billion. We are seeking a highly motivated private equity analytics co‑op student for the Fall2026 (September‑December) work term. Responsibilities
Assist the Private Equity Analytics team in driving investment decision‑making by providing timely analysis and reporting. Analyze sources of return within the portfolio, identify key drivers and opportunities for return enhancement and risk mitigation. Monitor portfolio and fund performance against relevant benchmarks, highlight out‑ or under‑performance, andrecommend actions.Develop and improve portfolio‑monitoring processes, leveraging technology, AI, and best practices. Test existing AI tools on emerging business cases and identify opportunities to utilize the data stack. Connect insights from confidential unstructured data with existing enterprise data platform outputs.Provide real‑time insights into assets that may be appropriate to sell and identify liquidity opportunities. Qualifications
Fundamental knowledge of computer science; recent experience with ML and AI. Working understanding of finance, business, and investment‑related disciplines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication skills in oral and written form, and high professionalism. Strong relationship‑building skills; proactive, results‑oriented, and resourceful.Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Hands‑on fluency with AI tools is strongly preferred. Ideal Candidate
Undergraduate student in Computer Science with relevant courses or strong interest in finance. High academic performance (A‑equivalent cumulative GPA, strong finance/accounting/economics grades). Strong work ethic and initiative, eagerness to learn, and commitment to ethical standards. Experience in advanced analytics in related domains and within peer institutions is strongly preferred.Benefits
Competitive co‑op pay of $2330.00 gross bi‑weekly (graduate students) or $2155.00 gross bi‑weekly (undergraduate). Vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary. Fixed‑rate travel allowance if attending in‑person in Victoria. Paid volunteering days (2 per year).
