Closing Date: May 31, 2026. We’re looking for a Procurement Co‑op Student/Intern to support the Procurement team within Finance for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 (September – April) work terms. About the role The Finance department of BCI is part of Operations and is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuations, and generating financial statements. The team also manages budgeting, tax, finance client engagement, procurement, and investment performance analytics. Working with internal business partners, auditors and external advisors, the Finance department strives to be a trusted advisor by providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information and analysis. Responsibilities - Contract administration activities (e.g., updating contract records and tracking systems throughout the contract life cycle) - Assist with contract worker onboarding and off‑boarding at BCI - Prepare reports on procurement and contract activities as requested - Support strategic sourcing activities including distributing documents, compiling bidding documents, issuing amendments, and scheduling interviews - Provide general administrative services such as document preparation, formatting, scanning, data entry, records management, creating and updating charts/diagrams/PowerPoint presentations, and ad‑hoc administrative requests Required skills - A fundamental knowledge of procurement - Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer‑service mindset - Eagerness to learn - Clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing - Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, product quality, and attention to detail - Strong research skills combined with analytical and problem‑solving abilities - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) What we offer - Training and mentorship to develop your knowledge and professional skill sets - A valued part of a collaborative team culture that rewards transparency and accountability - Exposure to some of the most talented, approachable, and inspiring people in the industry - Opportunities to connect and build your network with other interns and BCI professionals - Potential work‑term extensions and career opportunities within BCI - Access to Dialogue, a virtual primary care and employee support app - 2 paid days per year for volunteering - Competitive pay: $2,330.00 gross bi‑weekly for graduate‑degree candidates, $2,155.00 gross bi‑weekly for undergraduate‑level candidates; plus vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary - Fixed‑rate travel allowance if coming to Victoria Equal chance statement We welcome applications from all qualified candidates who are interested in this role.
