Underwriter- Commercial (Victoria)

Typical Day - Gather and assess risk information to determine eligibility on risk for all general insurance - Assist in the development of current programs and maintain current programs - Communicate with clients regarding new policy issuance, changes, renewals and cancellations - Advise, interpret, and validate coverage based on policy terms - Issue policy changes, renewals, and cancellations - Support internal departments and branches with policy interpretation and technical advice - Prepare and submit monthly reports to Insurers - Process policy changes, renewals and cancellations - Assist with industry market research to ensure premiums and coverage are competitive The Value You Bring - General Insurance Level 2 License required, CIP, or CAIB preferred - 1 year Underwriting experience an asset - Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal - Adept in retrieving customer data efficiently - Involvement in industry related associations and your community - Hours: 37.5 hours/week - Location: Hybrid if located in Victoria, BC.
