Landscape Lead Hand (Phelpston)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Lead Hand to oversee and execute various landscaping projects. This leadership role involves supervising crew members, managing landscape maintenance tasks, and ensuring high-quality results across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong horticultural knowledge, construction skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively in outdoor environments. Duties - Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, and general garden care - Oversee landscape installation projects: read and interpret landscape design plans, direct landscape labourers - Ensure safety protocols are followed by all team members during operations - Manage quality standards to meet client expectations - Collaborate with clients and project managers to plan landscape designs and modifications - Maintain equipment and tools used for gardening, construction, and landscape maintenance Experience - Proven supervising experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture projects - Strong background in gardening, and horticulture, including ability to accurately identify plants - Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively - Familiarity with landscape maintenance best practices and safety standards - Experience in supervising outdoor projects involving construction elements is preferred - Must have valid G class Driver's License with Clean Driver's Abstract This position offers an opportunity to lead energetic landscaping projects while utilizing your expertise in horticulture, gardening, and construction.
