Carpenter Assistant (Carling)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of supporting skilled carpenters in a fast-paced environment. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical tasks are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities - Support the installation of cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, and other building components - Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools - Support restoration projects including drywall repair, painting preparation, and caulking - Help with heavy lifting and material transportation around the job site - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times - Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently Requirements - Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques - Prior handyman experience or exposure to roofing, siding, or manufacturing environments is beneficial - Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods - Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude - Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site at various locations - Willingness to learn recent skills and adapt to different construction tasks Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oztyp
