Line Cook (Midland)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests through quality meal preparation and efficient food handling. Responsibilities - Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards - Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients - Cook dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards - Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines - Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts - Support the team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders - Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service Requirements - Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred - Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen procedures - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong understanding of meal preparation and food service operations - Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service - Food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and bending - Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen Pay: $17.60-$19.50 per hour Benefits: - Discounted or free food - Adaptable schedule Ability to commute/relocate: - Midland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: - Cooking: 1 year (preferred) Language: - English (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p00de
