Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently completing assigned tasks Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to meet quality standards and customer expectations Skills Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations Excellent teamwork and communication skills Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates Passion for the food industry with a commitment to delivering quality service This position offers an prospect to grow within a agile culinary environment while honing essential skills in food preparation, safety, and customer service.
