Senior Human Resources Coordinator – Midland, Ontario, Canada Responsibilities - Serve as the first point of employee contact for HR matters, such as benefits, onboarding, time and attendance, and other employee inquiries. - Respond to employee queries with professionalism and care, turning routine HR interactions into positive experiences. - Enter and maintain employee records throughout the employee life cycle in the HRIS system (Workday) and the Benefit Administrator portal; audit HR systems regularly to ensure data integrity. - Generate employee‑related paperwork (employment verification, transfers, notifications, etc.). - Develop and maintain standard processes and checklists; streamline as needed to identify efficiencies. - Maintain records, personnel files and tracking systems; support report requests as required. - Assist with weekly hour balancing relating to payroll processing. - Support new hire documentation with the employee onboarding process. - Provide day‑to‑day administration and contribute to broader HR initiatives. Required Qualifications - 1–2 years’ experience as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant or HR Coordinator in a fast‑paced work workplace. - Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Strong record‑keeping and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS platform. - Some payroll processing experience. - CHRP designation (or actively working towards it). Eligibility and Security Clearance This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian Government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements.
