Continuous Improvement & Core Lead (Midland)

Continuous Improvement & CORE Lead Reporting to the Associate Director, Operations, the CORE Lead is a key driver for the implementation and execution of RTX’s CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) Operating System at the Midland facility. This role leads and facilitates process improvement initiatives to optimize performance across the program, product, or process landscape. The candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on quality, cost, and delivery. This position requires a hands‑on, collaborative approach, engaging directly with both employees and management on a daily basis. Strong change management skills and the ability to influence and drive improvement across target areas are essential. What You Will Do - Drive the deployment and integration of CORE methodologies across the facility to enhance operational excellence and meet business goals. - Partner with functional leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement data‑driven solutions. - Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and training sessions to foster a continuous improvement culture within the organization. - Utilize CORE tools and techniques (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Lean Six Sigma) to identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions. - Serve as a subject‑matter expert in CORE tools and techniques, providing training and support to cross‑functional teams. - Monitor and measure the effectiveness of CORE initiatives and provide regular updates to leadership. - Support the development and execution of site‑level CORE roadmaps, ensuring alignment with broader RTX objectives. - Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other teams to align CORE goals with overall business objectives. - Drive CORE / Continuous Improvement culture throughout the facility, including maturation of CORE Framework requirements. - Achieve CORE certification milestones: CORE Champion (within 1 year), CORE Professional (within 2 years), CORE Expert (within 5 years). Qualification You Must Have - A degree/diploma in Manufacturing, Operations, or Business Management or a related field (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred). - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or process improvement roles. - Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. - Proven track record of leading process improvement projects with quantifiable results. - Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with diverse teams. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications We Prefer - Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Engineering, or equivalent). - Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. - Experience working in an aerospace or defense setting. - Familiarity with RTX CORE Operating System principles and tools. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: 65,000 CAD – 107,800 CAD. The salary range reflects all experience levels and is a positive‑faith estimate.
