Technical Solutions Broker - P&C Insurance (Waterloo)

Role Overview The Technical Solutions Broker is responsible for processing insurance applications and policy transactions in accordance with brokerage procedures and carrier binding authorities. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all policy-related activities while supporting both internal teams and external carrier systems. Key Responsibilities - Process new business applications in accordance with brokerage procedures and carrier binding authority guidelines. Ensure all applications are complete, accurate, and properly submitted through carrier portals for policy issuance. - Process incoming new business policies and complete billing in alignment with brokerage procedures. - Manage daily EDI workflows, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving EDI issues as they arise. - Support training and onboarding of new staff in the Broker Management System (BMS). - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines and industry changes. - Interpret and work with industry reports such as Autoplus, MVRs, and HITS. - Complete policy changes within carrier portals related to new and existing policies. - Identify and correct billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience as a RIBO-licensed broker or underwriter. - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. - Having a RIBO license is considered a strong asset. - Experience with SIG is considered an asset. - Strong understanding of P&C; insurance processes and carrier systems.
