Overview We are seeking a agile and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will possess solid leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations and food safety standards Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating customer preferences and industry trends Lead team meetings, facilitate training sessions, and promote a positive work environment Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold high service standards Maintain compliance with all restaurant policies, health regulations, and safety protocols Skills Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently Knowledge of food industry standards, restaurant operations, and hospitality best practices Ability to interview and select qualified staff members Leadership qualities that motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Experience with food handling certifications and adherence to health regulations Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required; hospitality background is highly valued Pay: $40,403.01-$67,773.13 per year Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oxl7y
