Construction Foreperson (Waterloo)

Heritage Design is currently hiring for full-time Installer Crew Lead/Foreperson, specializing in backyard construction (decks, fences, sheds, gazebos) to add to our talented staff currently servicing the Waterloo Region. Job Responsibilities: - Apply your skills to the construction of decks, fences and sheds of varying designs and sizes - Collaborate with management, estimators and yard staff to help coordinate a smooth, quality installation - Maintain company quality standards and help create backyard projects to be proud of - Supervise the crew members (crew size ranges from 2-4 people) on site and delegate tasks based on various skill levels and experience - Measure and mark guidelines for the project, including property lines, footing locations, etc. - Supervise preventative maintenance on tools/trailers/vehicles/equipment through daily inspections, lubrications, cleaning, etc - Work outside all year round during various weather conditions Qualifications: - 2 years + in the deck/fence industry considered an asset. The Heritage team is willing to train candidates with equivalent experience in a similar industry. - Valid Driver’s Licence - a clean driver abstract is considered an asset. - Punctual, reliable and honest. - An eager attitude and a willingness to learn - lots of opportunities exist to advance within the company if desired. - A strong individual work ethic and ability to work with a team. - Excellent oral and written communications skills to work effectively with the crew, foreperson, and office staff. - Ability to work effectively in a safe manner.
