Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Waterloo, ON - Onsite Duration: 12 months Client: Automotive client Job ID:6193 Pay Range:C$80 to C$95 Introduction We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Kotlin, experience with Agile methodology, and a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. This is a fully onsite position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet customer needs. Required Skills & Qualifications 10 years of software development experience in Java and/or Kotlin programming language 4 years of experience developing on Android 3 years of experience leading a technical team Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms Experience with Multimedia and/or USB on Android Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks (gtest, gmock, Robolectric, and Mockito) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior work experience at the client or in the client''s industry Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience in implementing MCP server and tools Experience in using AI tools for software development Machine Learning skills Master''s Degree Day-to-Day Responsibilities Leverage industry best practices to design, implement, test, and support new feature development Work in an agile team of software developers and test engineers Investigate, debug, understand, and fix bugs in the product Investigate options for how to design new features, reviewing these options with the rest of the team Write an appropriate amount of unit tests to properly prove out your code Review other team members'' code, supplying constructive feedback for their changes Develop proof of concepts and prototypes of potential new features Participate in design reviews with the team Lead a small team of junior developers and guide them For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
