We are looking for a candidate that can oversee security operations and lead security teams with minimal supervision from the client. This role is excellent for someone that wants to build and maintain teams from the ground up, ensuring client satisfaction and creating a positive workplace.** **This position is for an active open vacancy and will be based in Waterloo, ON for a new client.** **Schedule:** Regular hours are Monday to Friday. Must be available on call when not on site and support shift as required. **Pay range:** $27.15-$32.00/hr **ESSENTIAL DUTIES** : Support a culture that will drive a high-performance security and emergency management teams Review training programs with Client to ensure all standards meet and exceed site expectations, compliance and, development Lead and develop career progression and succession plans for various security positions. Provide continuous evaluation and compliance to Post Orders and site programs, communicate changes and updates when required. Communicate and maintain client relationship. Oversee communications and emergency alarms in the Global Incident Reporting and Communications Centre, responding to emergencies around the world. Audit contractor access procedures, ensuring that documentation is being followed, including log entries, badge access etc. Step in during emergency situations and calls to reduce risk to clients. Update client Engineering Techs of any and all emergency alarms, confirming alarms are active for an incident, provide detailed report to client and make a decision based on the emergency. Dispatch duties including answering phone calls for emergencies and non-emergency calls. Conduct monthly report outs of KPIu2019s and ensure accuracy of all month end documentation. Conduct weekly administrative duties including payroll, attendance, procedural audits, and performance management. Maintain staffing schedule, support shortages, and authorize vacation requests. Complete Employee Performance reviews and establish effective goals and objectives. With the support of the HR team, oversee all site labour and employee relations matters, lead investigations, recommend corrective actions, etc. All other duties as required. **QUALIFICATIONS:** 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in the field of security, or related field, required. Strong critical thinking and communication skills. Able to make decisions quickly and ensure detailed reports are provided. Understand the importance of a sense of urgency. Be able to interact with multiple levels of client employees from office staff to Vice President level. Able to take the initiative on emergency and non-emergency situations, allocate resources where needed and be able to identify risks or gaps. Previous by law enforcement experience is an asset. Valid Class G Driveru2019s License. Valid Ontario Security Guard License. Post-secondary education in Law & Security, Police Foundations, or equivalent. Strong multi-tasking and communication skills Proven ability to lead a high-performance security and emergency management team Ability to respond to situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm in stressful situations. Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to summarize information effectively and accurately to provide to the client. Intermediate level use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, Power Point). Robust organizational skills and ability to multitask required.
