Job Title: Temporary Market & Food Preparation Assistant Location: Port Colborne Farmers Market - Market Square, Port Colborne & 230 West Street, West Street Studio Kitchen I am seeking a dedicated Temporary Market Assistant & Food Preparation Assistant to join my team for the market season from May 8 to October 9. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient market experience for our customers. Required availability: - **Market Assistant:** Fridays, 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM, starting May 8 - **Food Preparation Assistant:** Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, starting July 3 Key Responsibilities: - Assist with unloading, loading, setting up, and taking down vendor tents, tables, and products. - Handle cashier duties, including processing customer payments and delivering excellent customer service. - Perform basic food preparation tasks such as cutting, portioning, and washing dishes. - Be reliable and punctual for early morning starts. - Work in various weather conditions, including rain or shine. Qualifications: - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. - Solid communication skills and a friendly demeanor. - Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is a plus. - Food Safe certified. - Availability on specified days and times.
