Pre-roll/Cigarette Mechanical Engineer (Pelham)

Job Summary As a Mechanical Engineer with experience in cigarette makers and packers that produce cigarettes or straight edge pre‑rolls, you will operate and maintain industrial machinery for cannabis straight edge pre‑roll production. You will be the subject‑matter expert on maker and packer equipment, ensuring quality standards and troubleshooting issues. Main Duties - Operate and maintain pre‑roll maker and packer machinery. - Start‑up, set‑up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery and associated pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Inspect and maintain equipment, identify malfunctions, and replace defective parts. - Regulate cannabis flow, install paper and tipping material, and adjust tension for consistent product weight and size. - Document components and perform quality checks to meet specifications. - Clean equipment and work area following established instructions. - Analyze KPI data, respond to fault indicators, and optimize production efficiency. Qualifications and Education Requirements - 5‑10 years of experience in high‑speed industrial production with cigarette maker or packer machinery. - University degree or equivalent diploma and experience. - Experience with OEM service, operation, training, troubleshooting, and installation of cigarette makers is an asset. - Tobacco and cannabis manufacturing experience preferred. Compensation Range 70,000 - 100,000 k annually.
