Job Summary In this position you will report directly to the Quality Lead– Assembly and be responsible for manufacturing quality readiness of the Welland facility. You will support quality processes related to the manufacturing of new units and collaborate cross‑functionally within the Waukesha business unit. Your role involves applying and expanding knowledge of quality theories, analytical practices, continuous improvement concepts, and coordination principles to deliver high‑quality products while ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures.

Salary range:

$60,000– $80,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute all Quality Assurance activities to ensure products comply with regulatory, QMS, customer, and engineering requirements.

Own quality processes and nonconformances for assigned product lines and manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with the Production Quality team on MRB process activities as needed.

Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions for encountered concerns and nonconformances.

Lead improvements for primary quality metrics related to business objectives and KPIs.

Coordinate containment, sorting, rework/repair, and concession activities for internal and external issues.

Participate in root cause analysis techniques (8D, DMAIC, PDCA, 5 Why, fishbone, etc.).

Support the Zero Defect plan and join continuous improvement initiatives.

Analyze trends in nonconformance data and recurring issues.

Ensure thorough investigation closure for complete issue resolution.

Evaluate products and procedures for specification compliance, customer requirements, and QMS adherence.

Promote continuous improvement and customer focus.

Utilize internal electronic systems, databases, and programs for data compilation and reporting.

Use precision measurement equipment and apply metrological concepts to inspect products, components, and assemblies for conformity.

Generate nonconformance reports for cross‑functional stakeholders such as product engineering and supplier quality.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications&Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of experience are required.

University degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).

Proficiency in interpreting technical engineering drawings, GD&T principles, and performing necessary calculations.

Experience in internal combustion engine assembly, testing, or design is an asset.

Quality experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace or Automotive is an asset).

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Technician certification is an asset.

Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, and quality problem‑solving principles (8D, DMAIC, etc.).

Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced team environment.

Flexible to work in shifts.
