Overview
To oversee the Forging manufacturing operations to ensure company goals and objectives are met in the areas of productivity, quality, safety, quantity and delivery. To provide leadership and direction to Forge/Plant hourly employees. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications
Skill/Effort Requirements Organizational skills Knowledge of forging business. Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and processes. Highly motivated and able to motivate others. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations including W.H.M.I.S. Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act.Problem solving/analytical skills. Ability to make effective and prompt decisions. Ability to work under pressure Responsibilities
Oversee hourly employees. Oversee the effective operation of the manufacturing operation on a 2-shift basis. Direct and utilize hourly employees daily. Work with hot inspector to ensure the producing of quality forgings. Ensure compliance to Company policies/procedures, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations as well as the Collective Agreement.Ensure any/all training requirements for hourly employees are scheduled, completed and documented. Other duties as assigned Working Conditions
