The Opportunity Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake. In this role you will be responsible for working with a team of professional engineers and technologists to provide design services in accordance withcompany and client standards, for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on civil‑related design and drafting, including earthworks, utility piping, surface drainage, and roadways in both rural and urban municipal settings. Excellent communication and strong organizational skills are required. You will efficiently manage multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines, thrive in a dynamic team environment, and work autonomously with minimal supervision, with the opportunity to move into a CAD lead role.

Responsibilities

Provide design services in accordance with company and client standards.

Collaborate with professional engineers and technologists on public and private sector civil‑related design projects.

Handle earthworks, utility piping, surface drainage, and roadway design in diverse municipal settings.

Maintain excellent communication and strong organizational skills.

Efficiently manage multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines.

Work autonomously with minimal supervision, with the potential to assume a CAD lead role.

Qualifications

A diploma in civil engineering, or engineering design and drafting, from an accredited technical institution.

Registered, eligible, or in the process of registration with OACETT.

5+ years of experience designing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with keen attention to detail.

Familiarity and experience on civil infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.

Experience in a multi‑discipline design environment is an asset.

Committed team player with the ability to work independently.
