Position Summary The Driver is responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Position Functions

Operating and driving straight or articulate trucks to transport goods and materials

Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights and brakes

Cold storage and other equipment

Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Working Conditions

Ability to work in hot&cold temperatures

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to follow oral&written instructions

Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

Ability to work as a team player

Sound knowledge of safe driving practices

Preferred Qualifications

Experience hauling steel is considered an asset

Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Air brake (Z) Endorsement

Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate

Air Brake Adjustment Certificate

Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test
