Dental Assistant – Full-Time Contract (June - September) Fonthill Marketplace Dental – Fonthill, ON We're looking for a reliable, motivated Dental Assistant to join our warm, patient-focused family practice in Fonthill for a defined summer contract. We are a modern, digital office led by one dentist, where we deeply value a supportive team setting and thoughtful, high-quality care. This temporary role is designed to beautifully support our clinical operations during an upcoming staffing transition. It is ideal for an organized assistant who enjoys staying busy and works well independently with minimal supervision. The role: - Temporary full-time contract (June - September) - Monday - Friday (daytime hours, approximately 9 am – 5 pm) - No evenings or weekends required - Hourly Wage: $24.00 – $29.00 / hour (commensurate with clinical experience) What you’ll do: - Chairside assist for a wide range of procedures, including: restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, root canal treatment, extractions, implant procedures, emergencies - Prepare and maintain treatment rooms - Set up trays and instruments for procedures - Take and process digital x-rays and intraoral scans/photos - Maintain accurate charting and update medical histories - Support patient comfort and education throughout treatment - Sterilize instruments and uphold infection control protocols - Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies - Assist with ordering and stocking clinical materials - Help support smooth patient flow and day-to-day clinical operations - Communicate with the doctor and team to keep schedules running efficiently What we offer: - Supportive, respectful team environment with a reasonable patient load and pace - Modern, completely digital office setup - Excellent work-life balance with standard weekday daytime hours What we’re looking for: - Level II Dental Assistant certification (or pending graduation/NDAEB results) - CPR/First Aid certification - Strong foundational knowledge of Dentrix or other dental practice management software - Ideally 1–3 years of dental assisting experience, though ambitious new graduates who are confident in their clinical skills and eager to work independently are encouraged to apply - Ability to take initiative, anticipate doctor's needs, and keep clinical flow moving smoothly - Reliable, adaptable, organized, and willing to learn - Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills Apply with your resume and a short note about why this role feels like a good fit for you.
