Dental Assistant (Fonthill)

About Us Dentistry in the Village is a patient-centered dental practice known for our compassionate care and high standards. Our team is looking for a reliable and skilled Dental Assistant to join us during a team member's maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities - Assist the dentist with chairside procedures. - Assist in patient care. - Take digital x-rays, intra oral pictures and assist with charting. - Take digital scans and impressions. - Record patient medical histories and maintain dental charts. - Seat patients and walk them out to reception. - Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to guidelines. - Organize and restock instrument trays and supplies in operatories. - Prepare operatories for patient care, including cleaning, setting up trays, and replacing barriers. - Follow all infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications - Dental Assisting certification (CDA). - Experience with Dentrix an asset. - CPR certification. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
