Service Plumber / Gasfitter Class B

Total Plumbing and Heating is looking for an experienced Service Plumber with a Gasfitter Class B ticket and working HVAC knowledge to join our Kelowna team.

We are looking for someone who is customer focused, mechanically strong, reliable, and able to work independently in residential and light commercial environments.

Position Overview

The Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and installing plumbing, gas, and basic HVAC systems while delivering high quality customer service and maintaining company standards for safety, workmanship, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing systems
• Service and install water heaters, boilers, fixtures, piping systems, and drainage systems
• Perform gas fitting work in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
• Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC related systems including furnaces, rooftop units, and hydronic heating systems
• Complete service calls efficiently and professionally
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repair options, and recommendations
• Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and paperwork through company software systems
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and organization
• Follow all company safety procedures and provincial regulations
• Participate in on call rotation as required
• Work closely with dispatch, operations, and service management teams

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber certification
• Valid Gasfitter Class B ticket
• HVAC troubleshooting and service knowledge considered a strong asset
• Minimum 3 years service experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract
• Experience using tablets, mobile apps, or digital work orders is an asset
