Position Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Actively contribute to a Safety First culture by championing and enforcing all safety‑related initiatives.

Work with the HR Manager and hiring managers to identify upcoming talent needs and proactively develop sourcing plans.

Assist in the development of overall recruitment strategies.

Configure and maintain the ATS for all assigned roles.

Perform job and task analyses to document job requirements and objectives.

Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs across appropriate platforms (job boards, educational institutions, industry associations, etc.).

Promote employment brand through social media engagement and responsiveness.

Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods based on the role, industry standards, and organizational needs.

Screen applications and select qualified candidates.

Schedule interviews and oversee preparation of interview questions and materials.

Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience based on role requirements.

Assist with the interview process by attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and stakeholders.

Collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners during the offer process, including salary recommendations and start‑date coordination.

Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation and internal company policies.

Provide analytical, well‑documented recruiting reports to the HR team.

Build meaningful and influential candidate relationships throughout the selection process.

Plan or attend recruitment and networking events to support Sutherland Group talent needs.

Promote the company’s reputation as an Employer of Choice.

Stay current on recruiting trends and make recommendations to improve recruitment programs.

Evaluate recruitment, selection, and onboarding effectiveness through 15/45/75‑day check‑ins.

Support the HR team on additional HR projects as needed.

Required Qualifications&Skills

Proven experience in recruitment.

Familiarity with ATS systems (Breezy preferred).

Experience with HRIS platforms.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and decision‑making abilities.

Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
