Pharmacy Assistant (Whitby)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently - Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies - Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision - Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations - Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims - Ensure the pharmacy workplace adheres to safety and cleanliness standards - Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients regarding medication instructions and safety precautions Qualifications - Prior experience in pharmacy setting is preferred - Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related healthcare fields is a plus This role provides an engaging environment for those passionate about healthcare services, offering opportunities for professional growth within the pharmacy field.
