Description
Job Description Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences is seeking a Recreation Therapist. In this role you will provide specialized care to patients with complex mental illnesses using a recovery‑focused model of care built upon compassion, inspiration and hope. You will assess, develop, implement and evaluate individualized and group therapeutic recreation programs, and offer functional and strength‑based social‑skill programs that support treatment, rehabilitation and recovery—particularly for a forensic population. Although the vacancy is for the Forensic Rehabilitation Unit (FRU) of the Secure Forensic Service, the role requires the ability to work throughout the Centre as patient needs dictate and includes coverage of the PICA.
