Warehouse Associate II - PTOC (Whitby)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Part Time opportunity with On Call hours only Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm Monday-Friday How will you make an impact? Handle product throughout picking, checking, packing, conveyor, and put-away using RF technology and PCs in a warehouse environment. What will you do? - Operate material handling equipment in a safe and controlled manner within a warehouse that stocks hazardous products. - Operate remote frequency devices and or computer workstations efficiently in order to update warehouse management and transportation management systems. - Receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, ship orders, and work on conveyor. - Follow the company processes, policies and regulatory practices, including handling of hazardous materials, transportation of dangerous goods, ISO, CGP, WHMIS, and Asbestos. - Assist, when required, in cycle counting or physical inventory (should a physical inventory be called by corporate). - Work efficiently in a team oriented environment. - Assists in special projects or other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or DC manager. How will you get here? Requirements Education - A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Experience - 1 year of General warehouse experience preferred - Able to lift or lower goods up to 50lbs. to or from waist level - Qualified equipment operator required (fork lift, order picking truck, reach truck). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Basic computer knowledge - Good interpersonal skills - Motivated, willing to learn and able to work independently - Flexible with hours of work and with assignment of tasks as rotation.
