This is a full-time in office role for a Head Chef at Oggi Trattoria based in Whitby, ON. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food quality and consistency. They will manage inventory, uphold food safety standards, and ensure an efficient, clean, and collaborative work environment while fostering a passionate culinary team to deliver a superior dining experience.

• Proficiency in Italian cuisine, menu development, and seasonal ingredient utilization
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including training and mentoring staff
• Experience in kitchen operations, inventory control, and cost management
• Commitment to upholding food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with exceptional problem-solving skills
• Culinary certification or equivalent professional experience preferred
• Prior experience in a similar leadership role in a restaurant setting
• Outstanding communication and organizational abilities
