Dental Assistant Whitby

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support the dental team in delivering excellent dental services. Duties: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Set up and prepare treatment rooms for procedures Take and develop dental x-rays Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health Perform various office tasks as needed Qualifications: -HARP Certified required Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent experience X-ray certification preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods Experience with Abeldent or similar dental software is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients Ability to work in a quick-paced setting Skills: Implant, surgical and cosmetic dentistry experience is beneficial Familiarity with Abeldent and Carestream software is advantageous Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable Previous experience as a dental assistant is beneficial but not mandatory Hours Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:45pm Friday 7:30am to 2:45pm No weekends *Hours can vary depending on dental office schedule Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care On-site parking Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Certified Dental Assistant (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oxflz
