Recruiter (Whitby)

Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin is currently building a pipeline of experienced Recruiters for upcoming contract opportunities with our valued client in Whitby, ON. These opportunities are anticipated to support departments including Public Works, Social Services, and Long-Term Care, and will offer hybrid work arrangements with 2 days in office. This is a 6 month contract with potential for an extension.

• Compensation: $30 to $45/hour

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, timelines, and workforce requirements
• Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, and proactive outreach strategies
• Conduct phone and virtual interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and fit
• Coordinate interviews and maintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate tracking within applicant tracking systems
• Provide recruitment updates and hiring recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Support recruitment projects and assist with process improvements as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in full-cycle recruitment within corporate, public sector, healthcare, or high-volume environments
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring managers
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a rapid-paced setting
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
