Position Overview The VGCA Accounting Shared Services Centre provides essential back‑office accounting functions for General Ledger, Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Affiliates, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets for multiple Volkswagen Group Companies, including Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Chattanooga factory production and electric vehicle infrastructure in Canada and the United States. The Parts Accounting Manager is responsible for the management of the Parts payables and inventory accounting processes and reporting within VGCA. The role provides technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance with accounting standards and that internal controls are documented. The manager collaborates with IT departments to provide systems support, leads the team through coaching and performance measurement, and supports external and internal audits across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of Coordinators, Specialists, Analysts and Qualified Level Accountants. Establish and negotiate performance objectives for individual team members and align them to corporate objectives. Monitor team performance against departmental metrics and apply corrective actions when necessary. Oversee hiring, onboarding and training of new staff. Ensure accurate invoicing of all products and services and that payments of parts invoices comply with terms, policies and procedures. Investigate and resolve vendor and employee inquiries regarding disputed invoices, maintaining positive supplier relationships. Analyze sales, cost of sales, inventory and related accounts. Prepare and report required monthly inventory schedules and fluctuations. Ensure all entries within areas of responsibility comply with IFRS and Group guidelines. Provide technical accounting guidance to reinforce compliance with accounting standards and internal documentation. Conduct meetings to resolve accounting issues, discuss process improvements, identify risks and propose solutions. Develop, monitor and support processes to address open issues and implement solutions with cross‑departmental collaboration. Maintain process maps, narratives, control matrices and desk procedures; ensure internal controls are adhered to. Perform additional duties as required. Formal Education Bachelor's Degree—Major in Finance and/or related discipline. CPA designation considered an asset. Experience 5+ years of finance and/or accounting experience. 2+ years of leadership experience. Competencies Well‑developed leadership and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of functional accounting methods and application of IFRS. Highly advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills. Analytical skills—ability to dissect complex accounting and financial processes, identify risks and recommend improvements. Ability to work under strict deadlines with strong attention to detail. Strong business acumen—understanding of large, complex organizations and interacting across all levels. Work Flexibility Hybrid position. Availability for occasional travel as required by business. Salary Range $99,000 – $109,000 (dependent on experience, education and internal compensation practices).
