About Us Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI) is a leader in providing innovative collision reporting solutions across North America. We partner with police services and insurance companies to support motorists following property‑damage collisions, helping streamline the reporting process while allowing law enforcement to focus on community safety. We are currently seeking an experienced, hands‑on Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) Manager for our Durham Collision Reporting Centre. This role is ideal for a seasoned people leader who enjoys managing operations, supporting staff, and working directly with the public in a community‑focused setting. About the Role The CRC Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the Durham Collision Reporting Centre. This is a working manager position that combines leadership with active frontline involvement. You will lead a mid‑sized team while also supporting collision reporting, customer service, and administrative functions to ensure efficient and professional centre operations. This role requires a confident leader with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing teams in a public‑facing environment. Key Responsibilities Centre Operations - Oversee and manage daily operations of the Collision Reporting Centre - Ensure data accuracy, procedural compliance, and a consistently high standard of service - Monitor workflows, resolve operational issues, and meet performance targets - Liaise with police partners and internal stakeholders as needed Team Leadership - Lead and manage a mid‑sized team of approximately 5 employees - Oversee hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management - Foster a positive, respectful, and professional team culture - Provide hands‑on support during busy periods Customer Interaction - Greet and assist drivers reporting collisions - Clearly explain reporting requirements and guide clients through the process - Respond to phone and in‑person inquiries - Provide calm, empathetic support to individuals in stressful situations Collision Reporting Duties - Verify driver documentation (licence, vehicle registration, insurance) - Determine eligibility for CRC reporting - Interview drivers to collect accurate collision information - Enter reports into reporting systems for police services and insurers - Photograph vehicle damage outdoors in various weather conditions - Upload, organize, and maintain digital records and files - Operate scanners and office equipment accurately - Coordinate workflow with on‑site police personnel Stakeholder Management - Support police constables stationed and the Collision Reporting Centre on an on-going basis - Liaise with police leadership associated with the Collision Reporting Centre (e.g Traffic Sergeant) to many any arising issues Additional Responsibilities - Support audits, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts - Complete administrative and reporting duties as required Who We’re Looking For - 7+ years of management experience, preferably in a customer‑facing or operational environment - Proven experience leading a team of approximately 5 employees - Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills - High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and discretion - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to successfully pass a police background check (including fingerprints) - Valid driver’s licence - Comfortable working outdoors to photograph damaged vehicles - Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and typing - Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities What We Offer - Competitive compensation - Health and dental perks - Job stability in a well‑established organization - Ongoing training and professional development - A meaningful role supporting the public while working alongside police and insurance partners How to Apply If you’re interested in joining our team and contributing to an important community‑based service, please submit your resume through Indeed.
