Senior Controller (Whitby)

The ideal candidate must have 5 years’ experience working in a financial environment. We are looking for a responsible Financial Controller to manage all aspects of our Accounting department. Duties of the Financial Controller include tracking and maintenance of finances, managing day to day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer collections, credit card monitoring, receipt tracking, payroll and inventory assets. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks. Responsibilities - Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports - Monitor the company AP/AR to ensure cash flow is accurate and adequate - Monitor trends and produce forecasts/estimates - Develop and maintain a virtual updated filing system - Submit reconciled expense reports - Reconcile the end of month financial statements - Complete payroll reports - Submit accurate WSIB/Union remittance based off of Payroll reports - Submit EHT/CRA forms - Process credit card payments and credit card reconciliations - Conduct escalated collections of accounts Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Office, MS Outlook) - Knowledge of office management systems and procedures - Ability to work independently and on demand - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Strong organizational skills Experience - College or University degree in Accounting - Experience with M&A; will be an asset - 5 years working in an accounting environment, such as AP, AR, collections - Experience using QuickBooks Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Vision care Experience: - Accounting: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Chartered Professional Accountant (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pjcwo
