Dedicated Lead Youth Volleyball Coach (Ages 8-18) Location: Ajax Club/Organization: Legacy Youth Sports Club Type: Part time/Seasonal (Evening Hours) Hours: 2-4 hours per week, typically 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesdays Compensation: $25 starting About the Opportunity Legacy Youth Sports Club Camp is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Youth Volleyball Coach to lead our developmental programs for athletes ranging from 8 to 18 years old. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is not only skilled in volleyball technique but also possesses a genuine passion for youth development. This role is crucial for growing both our players' abilities and the visibility of our organization within the community. Key Responsibilities Program Execution: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging practice sessions (2-4 hours per week in the evenings). Skill Development: Conduct dynamic, developmental drills and games that focus on fundamentals (passing, setting, hitting, serving) tailored to the diverse age and skill levels of the athletes (Ages 8-18). Inspiration & Growth: Instill a love for volleyball while teaching crucial life skills such as teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience. Communication: Maintain excellent and proactive communication with athletes, parents, and club leadership regarding training plans, progress, and upcoming events. Organizational Commitment: Act as an ambassador for the club, demonstrating a strong commitment to growing the program and retaining athletes year after year. Required Qualifications Experience: Demonstrated experience coaching volleyball to youth athletes, OR significant experience as a professional or high-level collegiate volleyball player. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate instruction and provide constructive feedback in a positive manner. Availability: Must be consistently available for evening practices (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM). Passion: A palpable enthusiasm for the sport of volleyball and the development of young athletes. Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required. Desirable Assets Current CPR/First Aid Certification is a robust asset.
