Dining Room Supervisor (Whitby)

Job Overview The Village of Taunton Mills has an exciting opportunity for a Dining Room Supervisor to join their team in a retirement home. Location: 3790 Brock Street North Whitby, ON L1R 3A5. Status: Permanent Full Time. Salary range: $41,200 to $46,600. Responsibilities - Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of hospitality services to our residents. - Lead and support a team of servers with hands‑on training, coaching and leadership while assisting the Director of Hospitality with shift scheduling and supervision. - Supervise the dining room, answering all requests professionally while putting excellent customer service first to ensure a seamless mealtime experience. - Use creative flare for meal delivery, food preparation and presentation, and plan, organize and manage special events. - Work every second weekend and may join the rotational on‑call leadership team. Qualifications - Hold a Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Hold a Food Handlers Certificate and Smart Serve certifications. - Respect the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members and visitors to the Village and address any requests with professionalism and care. - Previous supervisory experience either through employment or volunteer/school activities (preferred).
