Registered Practical Nurse for Adolescents (Whitby)

Be part of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Registered Practical Nurse focused on adolescents. Deliver vital mental health and nursing care through a recovery-oriented model. As an RPN in the Adolescent Unit, you will provide essential nursing services to youth with complex mental health challenges. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, your role will involve assessment and implementing best practices in care. You may also be assigned to other areas within Ontario Shores based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities: - Provide assessments and therapeutic interventions for adolescents - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care planning - Implement nursing best practices in mental health - Model Recovery philosophy in all aspects of care - Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality Requirements: - Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario - Current CPR and BCLS certification - Knowledge of Mental Health Act and psychiatric nursing standards - Experience working with adolescents is an asset - Solid communication and organizational skills Utilize your nursing expertise and commitment to recovery in supporting adolescent mental health at Ontario Shores.
