Amazon is seeking Transportation Operations Managers to work at sites across the country. The Transportation Operations Manager has complete responsibility for transportation operations at a number of sites within a pre‑defined region of the country, driving process improvements and maintaining acceleration while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of Transportation Area Managers located at individual sites to streamline logistics within each operation.
Ensure overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience across the region.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs.
Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression and learning.
Develop and share best practices across shifts and the network.
Travel up to 50% may be required.
Work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
Benefits and Compensation Salary range: CAN, ON, Ajax– 98,900.00 – 165,200.00 CAD annually. This is part of a total compensation package that may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance(medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life&AD&D insurance), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well‑being.
