Project Manager– Civil Construction Location:
Greater Toronto Area

About the Role As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and financial performance of assigned projects from award through close‑out. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will lead site supervisors, project administrators, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires a highly organized and detail‑oriented professional who can operate in a high‑accountability environment while managing risk, supporting estimating efforts, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management&Execution
Plan, schedule, and manage projects from award through completion
Provide complete project information packages to site teams prior to mobilization
Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Support estimating efforts and participate in bid preparation
Financial&Cost Control
Manage project budgets, forecasting, and monthly cost reviews
Oversee change orders and ensure financial performance targets are met
Maintain strong cost control from bid stage through project completion
Risk, Safety&Compliance
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks
Enforce company health and safety policies and procedures
Promote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership&Stakeholder Management
Lead, coach, and manage site supervisors and project administrators
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Represent the organization with professionalism and strong relationship management
Qualifications
Experience managing construction projects and leading project teams
Experience in project estimating and cost management
Strong track record of budget and schedule control
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety leadership
Proficiency in blueprint reading, takeoffs, survey, and layout
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and PDF‑based tools
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience in two or more of the following: utilities, infrastructure, environmental, civil, earthworks, or landscape construction
Compensation&Benefits
Salary range of $80,000– $120,000, based on experience
Performance‑based bonus structure
Flexible benefits program
Group RSP after one year
Vehicle or vehicle allowance
Cell phone or allowance
Minimum three weeks vacation plus paid emergency days
Annual fitness credit
Hybrid work arrangement
