About Grandview Kids
Grandview Kids provides an array of specialized programs, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinical treatments to children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs. Programs and services– which are delivered at the Centre, in the community, at schools, and in‑home – include medical consultation, assessment, and diagnosis; audiology; autism support; complex care program; occupational therapy; physiotherapy; respite services; social work; speech‑language pathology; therapeutic recreation; and family engagement. Grandview Kids actively participates in research to support innovation in rehabilitation science, advance organisational capabilities, and better serve caregivers and the developmental needs of their children and adolescents. Full‑time Contract – 37.5 hours per week June 22nd, 2026 – August 14th, 2026 Hourly Rate: $18 per hour Hybrid Job Overview
Under the direction of the Manager of Communications and Marketing, the Communications and Marketing Student will be provided experience in monitoring social and traditional media, developing content, supporting newsletters, participating in brand auditing, assisting with photography and videography projects, event planning, Quality Management activities, education, orientation and public relations, and maintaining a safe work environment.Responsibilities
Write and edit key publications, media materials and documents, including scripts for video marketing campaigns, external correspondence, promotional materials, email campaigns, etc. Assist with communications support for key internally and externally focused initiatives, projects, and events. Draft and update internal communications materials, such as staff communications and SharePoint intranet content.Ensure adherence to corporate brand standards for internal and external marketing materials. Assist with crafting digital content, including web stories, videos, posts, features and blogs. Support event planning and management. Provide photography, videography and video editing support at events or for communications materials.Ensure alignment to organizational strategic communications planning. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in progress or a diploma/degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or English. Experience in writing, digital media and strategic communications. Excellent writing abilities, including research, interviewing, fact‑checking and proofreading. Experience workingwith media monitoring and social media platforms and tools in a professional environment (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, etc.).Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work comfortably within a multi‑disciplinary team or autonomously. Comfortable working with technology and applying new methods of communication. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada.You have experience and knowledge with communication techniques and strategies and demonstrate creativity and innovation in your work. You may have working experience and knowledge of working in an environment with children with communication, developmental and physical needs.
