Become a Personal Support Worker (PSW) with SE Health’s sponsored training program. The 6‑month program includes paid training, part‑time community work during the initial 5 weeks, a virtual learning module, in‑person skills labs, and required placements. Training Program Details
5 weeks of paid PSW training at $19.05/hr, Monday to Friday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. After the first 5 weeks, eligible trainees are paid to work part‑time while continuing education. 4 months of virtual learning, 3 weeks of in‑person skills lab, and required placements. Training covers personal care activities, household management, and general support.Who You Are
Caring and compassionate. Calm under pressure. Strong communicator (written and verbal). Friendly and collaborative. Comfortable taking direction and working independently. Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and agility within a changing environment.Demonstrated ability to recognize safety concerns. Requirements
Ability to travel and attend meetings to support the needs of the patient. Valid G or G2 driver’s license; reliable vehicle is mandatory. Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certificate required on Day 1. Proof of updated immunizations (MMR, Varicella/Zoster, HepB, Tetanus) and a negative Tuberculosis test within the last 6 months.Clear police check and vulnerable sector check (upon job offer).
