Walter’s Landscaping is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. This position is primarily focused on landscape design, 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and preparing professional plans for high-end residential landscape projects. Because design workload can fluctuate throughout the season, this role also includes office and project administration support, such as preparing quote documents, tracking job progress, and helping manage new client consultation requests. About Us Walter’s Landscaping is a family-owned landscape construction company serving the Greater Toronto Area for over 70 years. We specialize in high-end residential landscaping, including patios, walkways, driveways, gardens, retaining walls, outdoor living spaces, and full property transformations. The Role The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable helping with both design work and the administrative side of the business. Responsibilities: Landscape Design & Rendering - Create landscape plans using DynaSCAPE, AutoCAD, or similar design software - Prepare 2D drawings, site plans, planting plans, and construction-ready drawings - Produce 3D renderings for client presentations - Conduct site measurements and mapping to ensure accurate designs - Work with sales consultants, project managers, and clients to develop and revise landscape concepts - Incorporate hardscape, softscape, grading, planting, and construction details into designs Quote & Proposal Support - Assist with preparing quote documents and proposal packages - Help organize scope descriptions, pricing information, drawings, and supporting documents - Ensure proposals are clear, professional, and ready to be sent to clients - Work with the sales team to keep quote documents accurate and organized Project & Office Administration - Track job progress and help keep internal project information up to date - Assist with organizing project documents, drawings, photos, and client information - Help monitor where jobs are in the sales, design, quoting, and production process - Help manage new client calls and consultation requests - Gather basic project information from potential clients - Support the office team with general administrative tasks as needed Who We’re Looking For - Experience in landscape design, residential design, or a related field - Strong skills in DynaSCAPE, AutoCAD, or similar 2D design software - Experience with 3D rendering software - Good understanding of landscape construction, grading, hardscape materials, and planting design - Strong attention to detail and organization - Valuable written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Comfortable helping with office and administrative responsibilities - Valid G-Class driver’s license is an asset Additional Skills Considered an Asset - Experience with SketchUp, Lumion, DynaSCAPE Color, or similar programs - Experience preparing professional client presentations - Experience with estimating, quoting, or proposal preparation - Experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, or project tracking software - Graphic design or marketing experience is a bonus, but not required Why Join Walter’s Landscaping? - Work on high-end residential landscape projects across the GTA - Be part of a respected, established company with over 70 years in business - Gain experience in both design and the project management side of landscaping - Work closely with an experienced team of designers, sales consultants, and project managers - Opportunity for long-term growth within the company Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week Application question(s): - How many years of experience do you have with 2D landscape design software such as DynaSCAPE or AutoCAD? - What experience do you have with 3D rendering or 3D modelling? - Do you have experience with site measurements, mapping, surveys, or preparing site plans? - Are you comfortable helping with office administration and client intake when design work is lighter? - Do you have a portfolio of your design work?
