Compensation and Benefits
Pay at Intact is about more than just salary. Salary range: $128,300– $156,800 (based on a 35‑hour workweek). Annual bonus target of up to 15% of base salary with a potential payout of up to double the target. Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – 50% match on net shares. Claims Manager– Property Appraisal Team, responsible for leading technical experts, managing the claims handling operation, and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
Lead a team of technical experts in construction, estimate writing, and property loss emergency response. Analyze data and results to assess process efficiency. Work closely with supply chain management to maintain a feedback loop with vendors. Coordinate team activities to achieve profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction objectives.Problem‑solve and innovate to drive continuous improvement of operational processes. Participate in national committees. Develop and implement business plans and necessary structures to achieve departmental objectives. Assist in preparing operating budgets. Manage team performance and support unit managers in development and recovery plans.Handle complaints that cannot be resolved by unit managers. Identify training needs and coordinate training. Participate actively in the claims department’s response to weather disasters. Qualifications
University degree or equivalent training/experience relevant to the role. 5 to 10 years of team management experience. Strong knowledge of personal and commercial lines, property loss or liability insurance. Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and Power BI. Can navigate Power BI reports (asset).Passion for people. Bilingual in French and English (asset). Posting Information
