Job Summary As a Software Developer with Portfolio+, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing our financial software solutions, empowering customers to achieve their goals. Leveraging your expertise in financial systems, programming, and analysis, you will contribute to building innovative, reliable, and high‑performance products that assist Canadians in managing their day‑to‑day banking with our Canadian bank partners.
Role Software Developer (Temporary) – 3 Month Fixed Term Contract. Department: R&D. Location: Stouffville, ON (Hybrid). Salary: $80,000 – $85,000.

About You Leverage your expertise in financial systems, programming, and analysis to build innovative, reliable, and high‑performance products that help Canadians manage their day‑to‑day banking with our bank partners.
Responsibilities
Document technical requirements, design, and usage for code and deliverables in collaboration with Technical Publications.
Translate Epics and User Stories into digestible sprint‑based tasks using Agile methodologies.
Participate actively in retrospectives, code reviews, paired programming, and POCs to implement best practices.
Maintain and update timesheets, estimates, sprint deliverables, POCs, and innovation records.
Apply shift‑left testing methodologies: functional, performance, DAST/SAST testing, and CI/CD integration.
Contribute to the Software Communities of Practice and advocate for Continuous Improvement and SDLC/DevOps culture migration.
Communicate effectively, support a Guard Duty model, and uphold high standards for code deliverables.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent qualified experience.
5+ years’ experience in software engineering.
Expertise in modern OO programming languages (C#, C++, Java, Python, Golang, Rust, etc.).
Experience with Prompt Engineering frameworks or concepts.
Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Architecture design patterns and tooling.
Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, object and data modeling techniques.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and using contemporary testing techniques (TDD, integration, acceptance).
Familiarity with version control (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo), build tools (Gradle, Ant, Maven), testing tools (ReadyAPI, Postman/Newman, JUnit), artifact repositories (AWS CodeArtifact, AWS ECR, JFrog Artifactory, Harbor), CD tools (Helm, Argo CD), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher), DevSecOps tools (X‑Ray, SonarQube, Rapid7), monitoring/logging (ELK, DataDog, Splunk), IaC with Terraform, Ansible.
Strong DevOps/DevSecOps and Agile practices background.
