Transform education with BDDEC as an innovative High School Educator. This role focuses on developing a land-based curriculum that promotes cultural inclusivity and equity.
At the Beaufort Delta Divisional Council, we are looking for a passionate Educator to shape our academic programs. You'll work closely with Elders and community members to implement a competency-based curriculum that respects Indigenous knowledge and fosters diversity. Your commitment to equity will help build a supportive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:• Design curriculum that respects local Indigenous culture • Create a learning space that includes diverse perspectives • Promote equity strategies throughout the school • Collaborate with the community for ongoing improvement • Integrate land-based education into classroom activities
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Education • Eligible for teaching certificate in Northwest Territories • Understanding of Indigenous cultures and history • Experience in Inquiry-based teaching methods • Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
