We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II (HEOII) to join our Transportation team. This position is responsible for operating graders, tractor trailer and a variety of light and heavy equipment, supporting the construction and maintenance of highways, recreational roads, airstrips, and other facilities across Yukon. Join us and help keep these vital routes in top condition for safe public travel!
Essential Qualifications
Experience operating a grader.
Experience operating various heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders or other equipment.
Experience performing minor maintenance or servicing of equipment, including greasing, adjusting brakes, changing oil, filters, or air filters.
Experience completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections or other safety procedures.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment
Yukon Class 1 driver’s licence with air endorsement
Pass TMB Competency assessment on heavy equipment (grader, loader, dump truck or tractor trailer)
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Job Requirements
Travel throughout the territory
Working in adverse weather conditions
Use personal protective equipment
Personal tool kit
Steel-toed work boots
