full-time, permanent Food Service Supervisors (NOC 62020)
to start immediately. 2222 2nd Avenue, Whitehorse, Yukon, Y1A 1C8
Positions Available:
4 Wage:
$20.71– $22.00 per hour Hours Per Week:
35–40 Language:
English Education:
Secondary School Certificate or equivalent Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in food preparation

Role The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and supporting front‑line staff during assigned shifts to ensure efficient restaurant operations. This role ensures food quality, safety, service consistency, and compliance with all A&W standards and applicable provincial health, safety, and employment regulations.
Responsibilities Operations
Ensure the safety and well‑being of customers and staff.
Monitor restaurant readiness to meet production demands and service standards.
Open and/or close the restaurant, including safe and float handling.
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule staff activities and breaks.
Resolve operational issues in accordance with company policies.
Balance food quality, service times, labour costs, and efficiency.
Maintain records and complete required shift documentation.
Support onboarding, training, and coaching of team members.
Address performance concerns professionally and elevate when required.
Ensure adherence to sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Financial
Complete daily and weekly accounting tasks as required.
Support inventory control, ordering, and waste monitoring.
Apply cash‑handling procedures and cost‑control principles.
Maintain records of stock, sales, wastage, and repairs.
Customer Service
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and guest service.
Ensure consistent compliance with safe food‑handling practices.
Support efficient service through proper staffing and preparation.
Manage guest concerns using approved service recovery practices.
Ensure team appearance and professionalism meet A&W standards.
Qualifications&Requirements
Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
Community college diploma in food service, hospitality, or restaurant management, or equivalent experience.
FOODSAFE Level 1 required; Level 2 preferred (or provincial equivalent).
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and make sound decisions.
