About Us We are a leading earthworks and civil construction company specializing in large-scale dirt-moving and site remediation projects. Our team takes pride in tackling tough jobs that make a real difference. We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our project team. This is a great opportunity to be part of meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct precise site surveys to support excavation, grading, and material placement.
Establish and maintain survey control for the project site.
Perform layout for excavation boundaries, contamination removal areas, and final grades.
Provide daily survey data to support operations and project tracking.
Maintain accurate records of as-built conditions and progress.
Collaborate with project managers, equipment operators, and environmental specialists to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Operate survey equipment and related software.
Support quality control by verifying excavation depths and material placement.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience as a surveyor on earthworks or civil construction projects.
Proficiency with survey equipment (GNSS/GPS, Total Station, data collectors) and software (Trimble, Leica, or similar).
Solid understanding of earthworks processes and site safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret project drawings and plans.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license; ability to work in remote site conditions.
Safety tickets (e.g., First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS) an asset.
